The Church Season of LIGHT, beginning January 6th and ending on Ash Wednesday, February 22nd (the beginning of Lent).
We have entered the season of Epiphany, the season of light and revealing.
The New Year is an opportunity to reconnect with our God and to ask God to shine light into our darkness. God will reveal all manners of truth to us, if we but ask. These truths may not be comfortable, but all that God does is in love, the kind of deep love that never lets go. There was a song in the 60′s titled, “Sometimes I wish my Eyes Hadn’t Been Opened.” It is scary sometimes to see things the way they really are: our relationships, our habits, our finances, our health, our family. But through these “opened eyes” we can also see the new possibilities that God has for us in our lives.
“Behold, I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:5
“For I know the plans that I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
I look forward to spending this New Year with you all.
Blessings,
Lisa
